Skateboard Park Committee Meeting Minutes
November 8, 2011

- Denise gave a brief recap of the committee’s past 2 years efforts in getting a skateboard park built. We have been successful in securing a design from Hardcore, but we have done nothing about fundraising. This needs to be our number 1 priority. Mike wants everyone that was in attendance to get involved and get this project going. He stated the project cost is $200,000 and is anxious to see people come up with fundraising ideas. People suggested selling Christmas trees, putting a “donor” button on the Facebook page, holding skateboarding demonstrations and selling t-shirts. Selectman Anthony Renzoni was in attendance and spoke about the budget constraints and the resistance this project will probably face at Eagle Lake.
- Mike suggested a sub-committee be formed with their focus being on fundraising. He has scheduled a meeting for the sub-committee on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 6:00p.m. in the Selectman’s room.
- Mike will present the skateboard park project to the Selectmen at their next meeting, Monday Nov. 21.
- Mark Flionis made a motion to accept the minutes from the Sept. 13, 2011 meeting, Nate seconded. Minutes were accepted as written.
- The meeting from October 11 did not have a quorum, no minutes.
- The meeting of the Skateboard Park Committee adjourned at 6:40p.m.
